Making any large purchase–a home, a car or a new boat – can be stress-inducing. It’s a big decision, both financially and in terms of your lifestyle, and you want to make sure you get it right.
When you walk into Colorado Boat Center we hope you’ll notice the difference between us and other boat dealers and marine stores when you are buying a boat. We don’t do high pressure sales tactics. We don’t do haggling. We’re real people who also love the boating lifestyle and we want to help you find the right boat at the right price and come join us on one of the Front Range’s beautiful lakes and reservoirs.
The first face you’re likely to see is Ashley Read. She’s the daughter of CBC’s founders, Tom and Nancy Smith, and she’s known by many of our customers as ‘the Boat Girl.’ Ashley has been in the boating industry for more than 18 years now and she really knows her stuff.
But her priority isn’t just selling you a boat: It’s listening to what you want and need, understanding how you plan to enjoy your boat and exploring all the options with you. And she’ll react the same way whether you’re looking to buy a new boat or a previously owned model and no matter what your budget is when buying a boat.
Like almost everyone at Colorado Boat Center, Ashley is a boat owner and loves nothing better than getting out on the water with her family. The same holds for our service technicians, our Ship’s Store associates … everyone at CBC loves the boating lifestyle here in Colorado.

Once Ashley helps you find just the right boat, we’ll walk you through all the financing options with our partner, Priority Financial Services. This company works with a range of lenders to find the best fit for your budget when you’re buying a boat.
Once we’ve helped arrange financing, we’ll schedule your official delivery day.
Delivery Day – A CBC Tradition
Get ready for a full family experience!

When you come by to pick up your boat, you’ll be welcomed by our entire CBC team and introduced to each of our departments, so you’ll know exactly who to reach out to in Sales, Service and Parts.
The final paperwork and warranty registration will be handled by Eric Smith, General Manager and another member of the CBC family. Eric is often the CBC employee who leads our on-water orientation sessions at the nearby lakes, so you’ll likely see him again when it’s time to dive into your boating experience.
And when all that is done, you’ll get a full, hands-on walkthrough with CBC founder Tom Smith. Tom will spend 60-90 minutes going over everything about your new boat: checking to make sure all the amenities and extras you ordered are in place and working, how to load and launch your new vessel and all the small but important details on your boat’s operation. Tom will make sure you don’t leave until you’re confident about everything on your new boat and excited to hit the water!
And we’ll take the traditional Delivery Day photo of you with your new boat to commemorate this important big step on a day we hope you’ll cherish forever.

The Relationship Doesn’t End There
After the sale is completed and you’ve experienced our CBC Delivery Day, our relationship doesn’t end. Far from it.
We’re committed as a company to make sure every customer of CBC becomes a confident, well-informed boater. We do this in several ways:
- On-Water Classes–free to our buyers, we host these classes annually at various locations around the Front Range to build your confidence and boating know-how.
- The Barletta Regatta–an annual customer appreciation day, now in its fifth year, for our family of Barletta pontoon owners. It’s a day full of fun, food, and on-the-lake memories that’s popular with all our Barletta families.
- Open-House Events-when we have gear sales, the annual season kick-off and other family fun events, all our customers are invited to join in. This helps build our extended boating family, which is truly important to us.
- Ongoing support–if you ever have questions or problems concerning your boat, we’re here to help. Whether it’s parts, service or just some friendly advice, we’re only a call, text or stop-in visit away and we’ll do our best to help.

When you buy a boat from CBC, your boating journey begins. But it doesn’t end there. We will be there with you for the long haul.
